R. Stuart Geiger
R. Stuart Geiger (CCT ’09) is a research assistant at Georgetown University's Communication, Culture, and Technology program. He studies knowledge production in distributed or decentralized organizations, paying close attention to the sociality of the technologies that support collaboration. Stuart specifically focuses on Wikipedia and scientific research networks, using a variety of methods and theoretical approaches. He is currently working with Professor David Ribes on a grant from the National Science Foundation to study the role of collaboration technology in two worldwide, thousand-member scientific research projects: the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the Long-Term Ecological Research Network (LTER).
