About Erin Joyce
Erin Joyce graduated from the College of Visual Art and Design at the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in the History of Art and French in the Spring of 2010. Upon her completion of her undergraduate degree, Erin relocated to California and currently serves as the Art Editor for Aslan Media Inc., a Los Angeles based news organization founded by Reza Aslan. Aslan Media aims to promote art, culture and current evens of the Middle East. As the Art Editor, Erin curates and authors pieces ranging from op/ed to interviews with artists, filmmakers, fashion designers and writers such as Firooz Zahedi, George Hobeika, Oday Shakar, and Wajahat Ali. Erin’s academic writing has been accepted into conferences both domestically and internationally and has researched on behalf of the Modern Art Iraq Archive (M.A.I.A.). In addition to her career in art journalism, Erin intends to enter a doctoral program focusing on the art and culture of the Middle East in the Fall of 2012.
